Author's Note: I wrote this to tell you what the most important quote is and defend my thoughts.
In the story The Ransom of Red Chief is "It looked like a good thing: but wait till I tell you." I think it's important because it told you how the story was going to go. It shows that they thought they had a good idea but the whole plan backfired. So as the reader you would know that the story would start off with a happy tone and then goes to an annoyed tone.Then as you read on you realize that is how the story went so it set up the story overall.
