The Famous Artowrk

It was painted between 1503 and 1506. Leonardo da Vinci outdid himself with one of the world’s most renowned artworks. Mona Lisa is by far (in my opinion) the best piece of artwork. Some people argue The Starry Night or The Scream is a better piece but it’s nowhere close.

One reason why The Mona Lisa is the best piece of artwork is the money it’s worth. The Mona Lisa is not only one of the most famous painting but one of the most expensive. The painting in about 50 years has gone up from 100 million dollars to 720 million dollars. (Mona Lisa)  The Scream is not even worth half of that. The Scream is worth about 120 million dollars.

Another reason why the Mona Lisa is better is the detail in the whole painting. If you look closely in the upper right hand corner there is so much detail. (Mona Lisa) He precisely paints mountains and hills in such a small space. It is unbelievable how precise he is. The if you go to The Starry Night there is not much detail. Yes, he did draw all the small house but that took up a large part of the space. Vincent did not incorporate much intricate detail to the houses.

The final reason why I think the Mona Lisa is better is because of the style Leonardo  used. I like the lifelike look of the picture. In The Scream Munch drew the background using a bunch of lines and I am not real fond of that and in The Starry Night, Vincent did the same thing. Leonardo did a great job of making the picture look lifelike and I like it that way.

In conclusion I think that the Mona Lisa is the most well done and beautiful pieces of artwork ever. Do not get me wrong though, The Starry Night and The Scream are still amazing pieces but Leonardo da Vinci has beat the others with his Mona Lisa.
